Congress: Votes reveal real Larsen

Who is Rick Larsen?

Is he the candidate who didnÂ’t show up for the Oak Harbor League of Women VotersÂ’ forum during the campaign of 2000? Yes!

Is he the candidate who relied on a last-minute blitz of lie-filled negative ads to defeat an honest and honorable candidate? Yes!

Now that he is in Congress, is he the freshman congressman who has consistently voted against protecting our borders? Yes! (Vote 356, 9/25/01; Vote 413, 10/31/01; Vote 154, 5/10/02)

Now that he is in Congress, is he the freshman congressman who has voted against deporting criminals? Yes! (Vote 242, 7/18/01)

In this time of record unemployment in Washington State, is he the freshman congressman who voted against extended unemployment benefits? Yes! (Vote 509, 12/20/01; Vote 38, 2/14/02)

In this time of critical international crisis, is he the freshman congressman to whom we should entrust with our national security?
