Coupeville levy: Coupeville levy OK critical
July 3, 2008 · Updated 9:15 PM
I am writing to encourage people in the Coupeville School District to vote on Tuesday, Feb. 5. It may be easy to be complacent about a one issue ballot, but this one issue is extremely important. Renewing (by voting yes) the Maintenance and Operations levy is critical to quality education in Coupeville, as it amounts to almost one fifth of the overall budget. We have had two children go on to college from Coupeville schools and have two still in school here. We know there are very dedicated administrators, faculty, and staff here. The district is proposing the levy renewal with the best interests of our kids in mind. Please get out to vote Feb. 5, and please vote yes to support our communitys children.
