My name is Savannah and I am eight years old.

During November I came up with a new holiday. It is called Horse Riding Day, the only day you could ride a horse free at horse riding schools (everyone can do it). Here is how I came up with it:

One day I was watching a kid show called “Arthur” and at the end of the show the holiday popped into my mind. I ran upstairs to ask my mom if she knew what month didn’t have a holiday. She said “August.” Then I decided to have the holiday on my birthday, Aug. 4, and told everybody around about my holiday idea.

Savannah Herdegen lives in Oak Harbor.
