Editor,
The final count for the Oak Harbor School District Maintenance and Operation Election Levy occurred on Tuesday, Feb. 26 and to the citizens of Oak Harbor and North Whidbey — thank you!
Your support for our students and vision for our community’s future is amazing. As the school district works to fulfill the commitments of the levy, we ask that you all stay active or get involved, even if you did not support the levy.
Please consider attending school board meetings, joining in constructive discussions, volunteer, or if it’s been a while, please consider simply taking a tour of your neighborhood school.
Oak Harbor schools have come a long way in the last dozen years since you the voters approved the first school levy in decades, and you should be justifiably proud. It truly is a new day for our wonderful community. Thank you again.
