Marine life didn’t do anything wrong | Letters

Editor,

Don’t forget that the animals at the marina are beautiful wild animals.

That is, what I thought was one of the perks of living on Whidbey Island. If the poo is that big of a problem, instead of killing or removing the wild animals, raise the moorage fees, use sea water and hire someone to remove the waste two or three times a day.

When my family visits from Seattle they are always amazed at the wildlife we enjoy on Whidbey Island, from the eagles, hawks, otters, seals and the dolphins they see on the ferry crossing.

To remove the otters, and kill the unprotected birds is disgraceful. What did they do to deserve this treatment, but be themselves?

Think about it, they were here first.
