List omitted oil, gas donors

A week or so ago the Whidbey News-Times headline read: “Candidates follow the money.” The article noted some contributions made to Sen. Mary Margaret Haugen from large employers in Washington state and noted some locals that contributed to her opponent.

There was no mention whatsoever of the large contributions made to the GOP candidate by the oil and gas distributors who are angry at Haugen because she tried to take away one of their tax breaks!

I doubt the people of the 10th District are interested in further increasing the profits of the oil and gas distributors. It certainly appears that the GOP candidate for Washington State Senate will be very interested in protecting their bloated profits. Think about that the next time you need to fill your gas tank.
