IDIPICs fundraiser June 17 raised nearly $8,000 for its island-wide youth drug prevention programs.
I wish I could thank all the 100-plus supporters who contributed to the event but space is of the essence here. (See entire letter at www.idipic.org). A huge thank you from the bottom of IDIPICs heart to:
Oak Harbor Senior Center, John Vanderzicht Memorial Pool, and The Whidbey Playhouse for decorations.
Soroptimist International of Oak Harbor, Del-Jen Inc. (A Fluor Company) and the Washington Traffic Safety Commissiion for covering the cost of Danny Vernons Illusion of Elvis show, and to Coachman Inn for once again providing rooms for Elvis and his entourage.
Oak Harbor School District for IDIPICs no-cost rental of Parker Hall. Thank you Bob Smithson for helping to make that happen, and David Conners for your assistance with the kitchen help which was top-notch, Kirstin.
7-11, Albertsons, Arbys, Angelos Café, Bayside Lounge & Casino, Burger King, Dairy Valley BBQ & Ice Cream, Daves Bistro, El Cazador, Erawan, Esteban, Imperial at Kasteel, Island Café, Island Drug, Jasons Restaurant, Jumbos Buffet, McDonalds, Mitzels, Nibbles Speciality Bakery, PW Murphys, Papa Johns Pizza, Potluck on the Porch, San Remos Mediterranean Restaurant, Seabolts Smokehouse, and Zorbas for the menu items.
Many of you donated twice as much as asked. Trying to calculate enough food and beverage with people serving themselves was a tremendous challenge, and my apologies to those few who didnt get all that they wanted.
An extra special thank you to Tammy Kelly of Forever Pretty 123 who donated over $750 in silent auction items. She also won the survey prize. Karma!
Plus a big thanks to all the Pamper & Please folks, silent auction/raffle prize donators, helpers and our Guyz2Girlz: Brian Culbertson, Roxanne Lamm and Keith Worley.
Thank you all for caring and sharing!
