Letters to the Editor

Jesus description shows arrogance

Wow. After almost 2,000 years of research by prophets, scholars, writers, painters, sculptors and world religious leaders, all of whom have pretty much agreed on what Jesus looked like because none of them actually saw him, Mr. Starks (Letters, May 27) comes along after reading one verse in his Bible and discredits all of them. Mr. Starks claims he knows what Jesus’ hair-do looked like and he disagrees with the world consensus.

I remember when I saw Jesus he had dreadlocks, beard, white robe and sandals. I always saw him after playing my Black Sabbath record backwards. Then it was 1970 and it all went away.

I wonder if Mr. Starks has one of those special hot lines directly to heaven. Maybe Mr. Starks had seen Jesus after having been abducted and taken to a space ship on the other side of the moon. I wonder if Mr. Starks has an over abundance of Kool Aid. Hmmm.

Most likely, Mr. Starks is suffering from a severe case of gross arrogance. I know what I believe and I believe I will pass on that drink of Kool Aid.
