We are writing in regards to the new Bayside Casino & Lounge located on Highway 20 across from Burger King.

They have some nice table games including a couple blackjack variations, Spanish 21, 3-card poker, Pai Gow and a hold’em table game. The dealers are still learning a few of the games but are polite, outgoing and very friendly. We are impressed with their respectfulness to all players.

There are two poker tables in the back, right now $3/6 limit hold’em tables. They have already had a $1,000 “freeroll” tournament that was organized and run like they had been doing them for years. They have wonderful dealers who are quick, knowledgeable and eager to learn the players’ names, keeping the games friendly and personable. Basic poker rules are enforced, included is the foul language rule allowing for all people to join a poker table without worry of constant repeating of offensive language.

There is always that occasional loud mouth or sore loser who stirs things up but the floor staff is quick to handle situations like that.

The lounge has some of the most exceptional food we have ever had, proportioned without all the extras that are usually not eaten and thrown away. We have tried six separate items on their menu so far, all have been above our expectations. We are very impressed with this casino and lounge and hope all people will give them a try. It’s been fun to see some familiar town faces in there also.

It will be nice to have another successful small business here in Oak Harbor keeping the cash flow within our wonderful community.
