Summer reading program needed

I agree completely with Gary Nienhuis, regarding the city library being closed during summer time. There should be summer reading programs, for all ages, during this period.

Without a solid foundation in reading, there is limited academic progress or success for any student, regardless of their age.

The library should be open during summer!
