Give us facts, not advocates

I don’t believe that it is helpful for folks that live in other towns to advocate for Oak Harborites to cast votes for a particular candidate in the mayoral race. I believe the request was “to cast a vote for my benefit.” If you want a voice in the city elections, you should move here.

What would be helpful is the candidates letting the voters know in what direction they want to lead the city. Qualifications and experience are important, but so are vision and direction.

Let us know where you see Oak Harbor in 10 years. Give us an idea of how you would get us there.

I for one want to make my own decision.
