A big thank you to our wonderful community and your generosity for the anysoldier.com program. The Oak Harbor Soroptimist Club adopted this worthy program for our October service project and collected over 11 van loads of products to send to our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan! Individuals and businesses also donated money for postage and other supplies.

We wish to thank everyone involved, including these businesses: Terri Fisher/Salon on 29, Wells Fargo Bank, Acorn Dental, St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, Carla’s Shear Inspiration, Peoples Bank, Banner Bank, Dawn Shumate/US Bank, Upchurch Scientific, Coachman Inn, Vint, Charise and Trish at Seaboldt’s Smokehouse, Whidbey Island Bank, Seventh Day Adventist Church Ladies, Theresa Byrne/Sea Tree Properties, Lisa Anderson/Century 21 Trophy; Pete Franssen/Jet City Equipment, Rue/Primavera Physical and Occupational Therapy, Bayshore Chiropractic, DK Flooring, Wind and Tide Bookstore, and of course our collection locations: Albertsons, Wal-Mart, Safeway, Rite Aid, Island Drug, Kmart, Saar’s Marketplace, Discount Party Store and Whidbey Printers.

What a great, caring community we have! We love Oak Harbor!
