Fifteen years ago, this letter would never have to get written. But in a culture where the disease of relativism is infecting nearly every aspect of our public lives, I felt compelled to write in to the Whidbey News-Times to express my gratitude. Thank you for having the courage and common sense to print “Merry Christmas” on the front page of the paper. Unfortunately, such a simple expression can no longer be taken for granted.
