Landowners need compensation

Many of us have land which has been placed in noise and crash zones. We know how it feels. Those that recently were hit with downzones by the commissioners are appalled and sickened. They should be!

As citizens, we should expect the spirit of the constitution to be upheld — especially in accord with the 3rd amendment which advises just compensation must be paid for military taking.

No landowner should ever be told their land use is based upon the political whims of a county commissioner. We need to defend the rights of our neighbors, even MORE than rights of Afgans or the Iraqis.
