Hats off to Eileen Brown for taking her hat off to IDIPIC in her column Feb. 13. It was very much appreciated by not only myself but I am sure everyone connected in some way to the Impaired Driving Impact Panel of Island County.

And let us also take off our hats to the good ship IDIPIC’s dedicated crew without whom there would be no panels striving for safer roads and safer kids in our communities, nor would there be our underage drinking/other drug prevention work in our schools from third grade on up. (Third-grade teachers, have we got a program for your class! Please inquire about PICKLES.)

So whether you are an individual or agency, business, church, organization or other group that helps IDIPIC with your time, money and/or some other way, it comes back to all of us ultimately because who doesn’t want to feel safer on our roads?

If you would like more information on being an Individual or Corporate Partner in Prevention, please check out IDIPIC’s Web site at www.idipic.org or call the office at 675-8397. Or check out the schedule and attend a panel. Knowledge is power. And some knowledge has the power to save lives.
