Kathy Fletcher, executive director for People of Puget Sound, was guest speaker at the Feb. 21 League of Women Voters meeting. Ms. Fletcher, a strong voice in the efforts to improve the quality of Puget Sound, presented an optimistic view of the state’s new Partnership for Puget Sound.

Her presentation was impressive in its clarity and extensive research regarding previous attempts to solve the problem of the unhealthy state of Puget Sound. The lessons learned may help these partnerships in achieving their goal of a healthy Puget Sound.

The meeting was well attended by League of Women Voters and members of the Town Council of Coupeville. For more information on the lessons learned and what you can do to help, please visit www.pugetsound.org.
