Thought emerges through the digits
As I try to figure out how to store all my digital photos, emails, word processings, and online research with extra hard drives, multiple CD ROMs, flash drives, and zip disks, as I forget names, facts, places and events with more and more embarrassing frequency, I wonder if maybe the Digital Age is not what God intended.
Perhaps there is really nothing wrong with me. Perhaps we are supposed to forget. Perhaps our brains, in their current state of evolution, can’t function in the present if they are clogged with such massive storage issues from the past. Perhaps both my aging brain and modern computers can’t handle Infinite Virtual Memory. Perhaps technology and the human race are doomed to crash because we’ve crossed our evolutionary memory storage capacity threshold?
Just a thought ... one of the miraculous few that made it to the surface amidst all the clutter.
