Wind and Tide says thank you

January 10, 2012 · Updated 1:36 PM

As the new owner of the Wind and Tide Bookshop, my niece/assistant, Amanda,  and I would like to thank everyone for their wonderful support which has arrived in so many ways. We appreciate your generosity; whether it is by book donations, help with all the fix-ups, making a point of shopping local or just dropping by to wish us well.

Thanks to all our loyal customers for letting us help with all your special orders and putting up with our “growing pain” mistakes. Thanks also to Justin Burnett of the Whidbey News-Times for a great article he wrote in the Nov. 19 edition. Thank you also to Diane Sullivan for keeping the store alive so many years. It is still hard to believe that a book store I visited as a child, I now own!

We still need more books especially nonfiction like cookbooks, gardening, history and any/all children’s books. Also a shout out to local authors and artists: We are happy to carry and show your work. Come and visit us soon! Don’t forget you may choose a book when you donate. Also, check out the free magazines in the back room.
