Hit by the Christmas Spirit

December 9, 2011 · Updated 2:21 PM

Every year I wonder where or when the Christmas Spirit will “hit me.” A certain song? A friend connection? Helping with The Tree of Hope?

This year it was the Christmas Fantasia presented by the Whidbey Community Chorus under the direction of Chet Hansen. This nonprofit adult choir has two performance seasons a year and spends countless hours practicing for each. By the time my husband and I left the performance on Sunday evening I felt such a sense of community, as Chet had us singing along, laughing and ringing bells.

Thank you  all to the Whidbey Community Chorus and to Chet Hansen. May you all have the merriest Christmas ever.
