Hospital workers show they care

November 29, 2011 · Updated 1:26 PM

I have been reading this paper for more than 20 years and quite a few letters have referred to bad treatment received at Whidbey General Hospital. Recently I had to call the EMT’s when my wife was comatose on my awakening. They acted in the most professional manner possible.

They transferred her to Whidbey General ER where the professional treatment was continued; she was admitted to the CCU where she received the most professional care I’ve seen in a long time. They took the time to explain all procedures and answer all my questions with professionalism and caring.

I cannot begin to remember the names of all these fine doctors, nurses and EMTs so I won’t try as I would forget some. All told, she spent a week and a half in the hospital. Unfortunately, she passed away before regaining consciousness or any long-term treatment could begin.

All I can say is thank you Whidbey General for the professional treatment and the caring you showed my wife Paula.
