We need our swimming pool

Isn’t having a pool in our town a necessity? Shouldn’t children and adults who live on an island have the opportunity to learn how to swim? There are numerous reasons for us to always have a pool, including health, education, recreation and social interaction.

The pool is an investment in the future of our community. It would be a shortsighted decision to vote the pool levy down.

We not only need this pool, we need a bigger pool. It’s amazing to see how busy the pool is every day, almost around the clock. Voting it down may create many other problems in the long run. We should be proud as a town for having a pool. Please vote yes on the North Whidbey Parks and Recreation levy proposal.
