Controversy offers an opportunity

Has controversy presented Oak Harbor with opportunity?
Now is the time to honor the original inhabitants of Whidbey Island, specifically here in Oak Harbor.
Should the city set aside a space on Pioneer Way at the very site of the ancestral bone discovery?
Someone could then donate their time and artistic talent to memorialize, in a tangible way, the spirit of those who in past ages lived and died around the beautiful harbor.
The current controversy calls for an amicable solution for all involved. Is this our chance to show awareness and respect for the diverse history of our city?
