Calling me stupid won’t get my vote

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I opened the News-Times today! The Whidbey General Hospital board is putting the bond back on the ballot in February?

OK, why don’t you just come out and call me “stupid, stupid, stupid!”  Because I and the other voters just voted this issue down three months ago. So the hospital board is just saying the voters that voted this measure down are just plain “stupid.”

Or maybe they just like wasting taxpayers’ money with another election.  Yes, that will get me to change my vote alright -- not.

Maybe if the board delayed a few years they may have convinced a few more people. But when someone calls me stupid in a backhanded way ... well, you know how that’s going to turn out.
