There was a neglected dog in my neighborhood over the weekend and the owners have been out of town for weeks. Due to animal control being closed, no one could help this poor dog until today. There needs to be some type of emergency service for neglected pets 24/7. If Oak Harbor can afford to change their downtown, they can afford another animal control officer on the weekends.
