Plenty of nuts for processing

Dreams of a food processing plant! It’s the winter with nothing to do so the cooks get together like Mickey Rooney and his gang who used to play “Let’s!” Oh boy, here’s a doozy. We’ve got this big, going-to-waste, Greenbank Farm. So “let’s” put a food processing plant on it.

We can ease it past the slumbering public by asking for only $1 million. Of course, that’s for the empty 10,000-square-foot building. Then next year the public and government will have to go for a million-plus for food processing equipment, an office, workers’ lunch room and lounge. Heck, we’ll have a model processing plant.

Products? Well, we don’t have a lot but just think of how this will inspire our farmers. Yes! The farmers who haven’t been complaining, haven’t had tons of crops rotting, haven’t been hiring long haulers to truck out abundant surpluses to market. We can’t even have dairy farms!

What, are you nut? Yes, plain old nuts!
