Democrats bring financial ruin

It would seem that in every edition of our local paper there is crying about how Rep. Barbara Bailey (R-Oak Harbor) and her right-wing, anti-government crowd is trying to neuter our environmental laws.

I believe Mr. Nels Kelstrom’s focus is a little short, and he should be looking at a bigger picture at what’s going on in our country along with the whole West Coast of America. All three states have been dominated and controlled by Democrats, and all three are on their way to financial ruin.

With union monopolies along with government promises, not to worry — everything is OK, and don’t forget to vote for me! With job-killing environmental laws trying to control everything I wonder what kind of “wing” has been covering this mess. I can only imagine what could be done with the interest payments our state is making.

It looks like these states have been following the feds’ lead. But then again the federal government has been under Democratic control. With the federal deficit approaching the big trillion dollar mark, can anyone imagine what could be done with that kind of money? Boeing just received a contract from China for more planes, so the men at Boeing work hard to build these planes, pay their taxes and our government takes their money and gives it to China as payment on our own debt. Then China uses our money to buy our products.

It reminds me of the joke of the two farmers selling a mule back and forth, making a profit each time until the mule dies. I would like Mr. Kelstrom to explain what kind of “wing” is responsible for this? I think we should applaud any effort by our representatives in trying to remove or slow down this government takeover of everything.

Keep up the good work Barbara Bailey.
