Regarding, “Emersons seek injunction to stop the fines,” Jan. 19, Whidbey News-Times.

The rights of the individual supersedes the rights of government, and that liberty should never be threatened by evil laws of prideful men who wished to buttress their rule and advance their ambitions and silence the cry of freedom.

Abuse of power, tyranny, double standards, and corruption of Island County government becomes more apparent every day. How is it that sections of Island County Code are ignored or trampled on for expediency and political gain?

Is it not enough that Island County bureaucrats bypass sections of ICC 17.03.260 specifically pertaining to obtaining search warrants; they completely ignore section 17.03.250 on citizen complaints.

I believe in law and the orderly process of law. I do not believe in force or lies in order to make all men live as we might desire them to live.
