Unions are destroying us

Regarding “Oak Harbor police won’t surrender their pay raise” (Whidbey News-Times, Nov. 20).

Unions are what are killing our cities, states and our federal government. We can no longer afford their benefit or salary demands. They have managed to run most of our manufacturing out of the country, as we can no longer be considered competitive in the labor market.
