Once again the North Whidbey Lions Club would like to say thank you to the Oak Harbor community for their generosity in support of our recent PB&J Drive on behalf of the North Whidbey Help House. We would also like to thank the management and employees of Saars, Safeway and Albertsons for allowing us to conduct our drive at their establishments.

Over the years the PB&J Drive has become a signature event of the North Whidbey Lions Club. This year our drive was Oct. 23 and we collected over a thousand items and over $500 in cash. In addition to peanut butter and jelly we also collected hundreds of other non-perishable items that will go far in stocking the shelves and helping those most in need.

After doing this as long as we have I guess we shouldn’t be surprised at the generosity of our community, but the willingness to give and help others still never ceases to amaze us. You help us make this a better place to live. Thank you.

Douglas Tyler

North Whidbey Lions Club President
