Letter: Felici best choice to lead county sheriff’s office

Editor,

We would once again strongly encourage everyone to vote for Rick Felici for Island County sheriff. Just some of Rick’s accomplishments include: Over 30 years of leadership training, experience as a patrol deputy, detective, patrol sergeant, corrections deputy, deputy sergeant and administrator. Rick is a graduate of FBI Command College, and the International Association of Chiefs of Police Legacy League, has been a use of force firearm instructor and is a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He is also endorsed by 12 Washington state elected sheriffs. Unfortunately, his opponent can claim none of these things.

When you need to fill an important leadership position, it’s a no-brainer that the position should be filled by someone who has shown strong leadership ability. The great Vince Lombardi said, “Leaders aren’t born, they are made just like anything, through hard work.”

Rick Felici has done the work and he deserves our vote. Stick with Rick and make him our next sheriff.
