Russell O. ‘Rusty’ Bruce: Aug. 13, 1958 – Jan. 4, 2019

Russell O. “Rusty” Bruce, 60, passed away on Jan. 4, 2019 in Billings, Mont. at Riverstone Hospice House.

He was born Aug. 13, 1958 in Sheridan, Wyo.to Carl and Glenita (Hill) Bruce, where he graduated from Sheridan High School in 1976.

Rusty married the love of his life, Pam Sanders, on Jan. 13, 1985 in Anchorage, Alaska. They traveled and worked across several states, with their longest stays in Alaska, Washington and recently Montana. Rusty started his life-long career of flooring installation at 14 years old, working with his father in the family business. He then became a self-employed flooring contractor, with his own son working beside him in the last few years. He always took great pride in his work; he wanted a happy customer.

Rusty’s passion was riding his Harley cross country and through the mountains with Pam and friends. Wherever he rode, he always came home with a great story and a new friend.

He is survived by wife, Pam of Hardin, Mont.; two sons: Ryan of Portland, Ore.; Cody and grandson Auggie of Billings Mont.; his parents Carl and Glenita (Hill) Bruce of Dyersburg, Tenn.; siblings: Joy (Rick) Troutt Pueblo, Colo.; Kim Curran; and several nephews, nieces and extended family members.

Family and friends are encouraged to leave memories and condolences on Facebook- Rusty Bruce. A celebration of Rusty’s life will be held in late spring at Sheridan, Wyo. and mid-August on Whidbey Island.
