Robert H. Lang: Aug. 26, 1934 – Sept. 4, 2018

Robert H. Lang, “Bob,” 84, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born and raised in Oak Harbor, Wash. Upon graduation from Oak Harbor High School he enlisted in the United States Air Force, and was honorably discharged after four years, in 1957.

Bob attended Western Washington University and, shortly thereafter, met his future wife Nancy Branca. They were married on New Year’s Eve, 1958.

Bob worked for General Telephone Co. for 26 years, retiring in 1988. Bob and Nancy spent many years traveling, trap shooting, hunting and fishing.

Bob leaves his beloved wife Nancy, and three children: son Bob Lang; daughters Kristy Lang Miller (Sam) and Kelly Knight (Ron); seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Bob has left a big hole in our hearts — he was larger than life and family always came first.

A celebration of life will be held at the Oak Harbor Elks Lodge, 155 N.E. Ernst St., Oak Harbor, Wash., from 12-3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 2018
