Rebecca (Becky Moyer) Spraitzar, longtime Oak Harbor resident, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 28. Becky was born on May 12, 1949 in Vancouver, Wash., to John and Lou Moyer.

She was predeceased by both her parents and her son John LeBret.

A bright light in our life has dimmed…our dear friend Becky has lost her battle with cancer. She was a passionate advocate for fairness in government. As a farmer, she loved animals and the earth and was a voice for the environment.

Friendship and family were important and her pride as a mom was there for all to see. She could be fierce when asked, as well as smart and funny. Becky will be missed in our hearts and home.

She is survived by her son Caleb LeBret, sister Laurel Fagan, step brother Clay Beagle and his wife Diana, nephews Sean and Skeeter Fagan, niece Kenyon (Fagan) Blaine, one grand-nephew, two grand nieces and her husband Gerry Spraitzar.

Services for Becky will be at 1 p.m. April 8 at Wallin Funeral Home, with a reception following.
