Patricia Louise Lineberger: Aug. 30, 1946 – Jan. 14, 2017

“If you’ve ever been scrutinized by the roll of her eyes, you’ve made an impression on her.”

Patricia Louise Lineberger, dearly beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, passed away into the arms of her Lord within the early morning hours of Jan. 14, following a sudden heart attack.

Pat was born Aug. 30, 1946, in Charlotte, N.C., to the late Wilmer (Jack) Bass and Jenny Bass. She was sister to William Burnett Bass who passed Dec. 17, 2009.

She was united in holy matrimony to her “love bucket” William Andrew Lineberger, whom she had known in her neighborhood since the childhood age of 5. Their union was blessed with two children, Monica Louise Lineberger and William Grady Lineberger.

A faithful presence at the Charlotte Westview Baptist Church, Pat was a devoted youth director and choir member. She was president of the Charlotte Barry Hill Elementary PTA. While living in Ventura, Calif., Pat was a member of the Friendship Connection, as well as president of the volunteer docents for the Oilvas Adobe, a California historical landmark.

While living in Seoul, Korea, Pat was a volunteer English tutor. She was also a dental receptionist and medical assistant. A proud Navy wife and a patriot, Patricia was politically active and worked as a campaigner for Ross Perot during his 1992 presidential run.

A passionate NASCAR fan, Pat could often be overheard cheering “Go Junior” during a race. She was a great lover of animals, having cared for numerous cats, dogs, parrots and chickens as well as donating regularly to various animal shelters.

She is survived by her aforementioned husband, children and grandchildren. She also leaves behind nephews, cousins and numerous friends.

Patricia requested a private funeral so there will be no services. Anyone is free to share memories, photos and videos as well as make condolences online at her memorial page at www.never gone.com/memorials/patbl
