Lynn Juliet Burrows: April 5, 1941 – April 17, 2018

The beautiful, vibrant Lynn Juliet Burrows passed from this world with a grateful heart and surrounded by her loved ones on April 17. She was 77. Lynn, the daughter of Clifford and Lynette Juliet, was born on April 5, 1941, in Detroit, Mich.

With her sister Joan Vanderbush and brothers Paul Juliet and Fred Juliet, she shared many wonderful memories growing up in Southern California. She attended California State University — Northridge, earning her bachelor’s degree in fine art, an appreciation she treasured throughout her life. In March 1962, she married Dale Burrows, a poet and director of social services.

Lynn and her family relocated to Oak Harbor in 1977, where she led an extraordinary life as a mother, artist, entrepreneur, gardener, feminist and risk-taker. She was a role model and mentor to many in her life, with a very generous spirit. Lynn had a strong business drive, building a successful healthcare recruiting company. When the internet expanded, she took her business online working to create the number one healthcare job board in the country. She sold this business to a large media firm. Along the way, Lynn always believed in the importance of enjoying life and making things fun – even at the end of her life, after a two-year battle with ovarian cancer. Her final word was “wonderful” after enjoying her last bite of strawberry ice cream.

Lynn is survived by her devoted daughters Allison Rapaport (Marc) and Kimberly Latsha (Michael); her loving grandchildren Brent Bebee (Danielle), Blake Bebee and Alex Rapaport; her great-grandchild, Regan Bebee and her pets, Ollie and Lucy. A private ceremony for the family was held on April 20, 2018, in Oak Harbor. Donations may be sent to support HumbleDesigns.org in Seattle.
