Linda Jean (Ginnett) Rhodes, known affectionately as “Boss Kitty” or “Miss Kitty,” born on Tuesday, June 22, 1954, in Anacortes, Wash., went to her final resting place on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017.

In 1972, Linda graduated from Oak Harbor High School.

She would be the first to donate her time and talents, or just a meal, to anyone in need. “Don’t leave my house hungry,” she would say.

Linda touched many lives in her time here and will be greatly missed.

Those surviving her are her loving husband of 45 years, Dusty Rhodes, of Oak Harbor; her daughters, Dawn (Keith) Strauser of Camano Island, Christine (Blaire) Rhodes of Bellingham: and numerous other family members.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Mary Ginnett.

Linda will be buried at Grand View Cemetery, Anacortes next to her parents.

A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at Oak Harbor Lutheran Church followed by a reception.

The family suggests memorials to Linda be made out to a charity of your choice.
