Juanita V. Youderian: June 25, 1931 – Sept. 29, 2018.

Surrounded by family, Juanita Valera Youderian of Coupeville passed away peacefully at home in the afternoon on Sept. 29. She was a lifelong resident of Coupeville, born at Fort Casey to F.F. and Ruby (Pennington) Ghormley on June 25, 1931.

She owned and ran a raspberry patch for 43 years. Mom enjoyed the outdoors, her friends, crossword puzzles and being with her family. She was always surrounded by family. She was a homemaker, a terrific mother and friend, a special grandmother and great-grandmother. Feisty and outspoken, she was one of a kind and loved dearly.

Those who preceded her in death are husband Robin (of 49 years) in 1998, daughter Candace Warford in 1980 and brother Blaine Ghormley in 2010.

She is survived by daughter Debra (James) Meek; granddaughter Jaime (Chris) Otto; great-granddaughters Alexxis, Melissa, Cierra and Desiree; granddaughter Yolanda Meek (Butch Strasters); great-granddaughter Candace; grandson James (Audrey) Meek; great-grandchildren Jonah and Brinnley; son Robert Youderian; grandsons Quentin Youderian, Craig Youderian (Stephanie Wilson); and great-granddaughters Payton and Darion. Juanita is also survived by her sister Lajuna (Bud) Mathis; sister-in-law Jo Ghormley; son-in-law Tom Warford and grandson Shawn Warford; and many special nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Wallin Funeral Home, Oak Harbor on Friday, Oct. 12, from 2-6 p.m. A graveside service will take place at Sunnyside Cemetery in Coupeville at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Juanita’s honor at her home: 18082 SR 20, Coupeville, on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 1-4 p.m..
