Geanyce May Allen: May 17, 1966 – August 31, 2018

Geanyce May Allen, born May 17, 1966 in Long Beach, Calif., passed away on Friday, Aug. 31, 2018 at 8:45 a.m. at her home in Central Point, Ore. after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Geanyce grew up in Norco, Calif. and attended Norco High School. Her hobbies included horseback riding and rollerskating. She cherished her mother and her two brothers, finding great joy and strength in her relationships with them. Geanyce was married to Robert Tracy for 29 years and the couple was blessed with two beautiful boys, Justin and Jacob, who were Geanyce’s heart and soul. All who knew her would tell you that lovingly mothering her sons was the single greatest joy of Geanyce’s life.

Geanyce was a devout, life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a deep and abiding love for her Savior Jesus Christ. She expressed her love for her Savior by joyfully serving others to lift their burdens and gladden their hearts. Geanyce served as a church service welfare missionary helping to provide relief to those facing hard times. Geanyce’s genuine love for others drew them to her and she was blessed with a multitude of friends who loved her as much as she loved them.

In April 2016, Geanyce met the love of her life, Andy Allen, and the two were married four months later. They walked hand-in-hand during Geanyce’s 18-month battle with cancer, finding great joy in their love and devotion for each other and in their shared faith.

Geanyce is survived by her husband Andy, her mother Carolyn, her brother Danny, and her sister-in-law Veronica, all from Medford, Ore. She is also survived by her son Justin, from Blythe, Calif., her son Jacob, who is currently serving a two-year proselyting mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Santiago, Chile, and many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family members. Geanyce was preceded in death by her big brother Ronny Ray.
