Erik Frolich: June 25, 1949 – April 18, 2017

Erik Frolich was born in Seattle, Wash. on June 25, 1949, and died on April 18, 2017, from complications from CMML.

He graduated from Bellevue High School, served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, then worked at the University of Washington for 35 years as a carpenter.

He loved sailing, his dogs Mocha and Abby, and spending time at the beautiful house that he built on Whidbey Island.

Erik would say that one of the happiest days of his life was relocating to Whidbey Island.

He truly loved it here. As a master craftsman, he spent his time after retirement restoring vintage trailers.

He and his wife used the trailers for many road trips throughout the Southwest and had countless other adventures together.

Erik was a loyal, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his wife Cindy, sons Chris (Bridget) and Colin (Kai), grandsons Badger and Archer, brother Fritz and sister Celeste.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Sunday, May 21, 2017, at his home on Whidbey Island.
