WSDOT sets meeting on road project

Road construction season is just around the bend.

The state Department of Transportation is holding an open house meeting next week to educate residents about a 30-mile paving project on state highways 20 and 525. The meeting is from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, at Coupeville High School.

The state also invited other partners on Whidbey Island, such as Island County public works, to attend the meeting and answer questions about other projects down the road.

“Drop in anytime during the times listed above to chat one-on-one, or in small groups, with engineers and others involved directly with projects in your community,” WSDOT reported in a press release.

WSDOT officials are also holding an open house on the 2018 Sharpes Corner intersection improvement project from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 13, at the Anacortes Middle School.
