South Whidbey claimed its latest rivalry win by beating visiting Coupeville 4-1 in tennis Friday, Sept. 23.

South Whidbey claimed its latest rivalry win by beating visiting Coupeville 4-1 in tennis Friday, Sept. 23.

William Nelson and Joey Lippo recorded Coupeville’s only win, taking second doubles 6-3, 2-6, 6-1.

The Wolves are now 1-5 for the season; the Falcons upped their record to 4-3.

Coupeville plays another non-league match when it hosts North Mason (1-5) at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26.

Other Coupeville results at South Whidbey:

Singles: 1, Nick Etzell lost 6-1, 6-0; 2, Jakobi Baumann lost 6-1, 6-2.

Doubles: 1, Joseph Wedekind/John McClarin lost 7-5, 6-1; 3, Jimmy Myers/Grey Rische lost 6-0, 6-4.
