Vester earns Heroes’ Legacy Scholarship

JAHLEEL VESTER, son of Joyceline Vester, of Oak Harbor, is a winner of the Heroes’ Legacy Scholarships For Children of Fallen or Disabled Service Members.

The scholarship grants for this program are principally underwritten by the author’s after-tax proceeds from the book “Of Thee I Sing: A Letter to my Daughters” written by former President Barack Obama, as well as corporate sponsorships and private donations.

Vester is attending school at Liberty University, majoring in business management.

His school activities include wrestling, intravarsity team leader, wrestling team captain, central campus policy team and the student athlete advisory.
