Coupeville High School junior football player Hunter Smith was selected as the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association’s 1A Athlete of the Week.

Smith scored three touchdowns, two on receptions and one a 76-yard kickoff return, and intercepted two passes. He finished with over 200 all-purpose yards in the 41-10 win over South Whidbey Friday, Sept. 2.
