Police serve warrant in Clinton

A large number of police officers descended on a home in Clinton Saturday.

At about 5 p.m., deputies, detectives and emergency response team members from the Island County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Oak Harbor Police Department served a search warrant at a Sun Vista Circle house, according to Sheriff Mark Brown.

Approximately 15 men and women from inside the house were detained while the search was conducted. Police arrested six of the people who were wanted on outstanding warrants. They were booked into the Island County Jail, Brown said in a statement.

The remaining occupants were allowed to return to the home after the search was complete.

Brown wouldn’t say what evidence was collected. The evidence is part of an ongoing investigation conducted by his office.
