“SheriffThe following items were selected from reports made to the Island County Sheriff’s Office:Friday, Nov. 19At 3:28 p.m., a Crestview Place resident reported that a neighbor dog attacked him and another neighbor. They had to kick the dog away.At 8:41 p.m., a woman reported that her sister, a North Whidbey resident, said she was depressed over a problem with her husband and was either going to shoot herself or her husband. Nobody was shot.Saturday, Nov. 20At 12:27 a.m., a driver reported that there was a dead coyote on the side of Highway 20 at Kennedy Lane.At 4:36 a.m., a Deception Circle resident reported that someone entered her residence and stole some expensive pool cues.At 2:23 p.m., a Lamont Drive resident reported that someone broke into two buildings on her property and stole some Beanie Babies and Buddies.At 9:41 p.m., a Moss Lane resident reported that his wife saw four teenagers dressed in black dive into bushes near their house.At 9:45 p.m., a Silverspur resident reported that her house was egged.At 9:53 p.m., a Homestead Road resident reported that her trailer was egged.Sunday, Nov. 21At 4:19 p.m., the owner of Greenbank Sand and Gravel reported that he caught three boys trying to break into the business. They were arrested.At 6:25 p.m., a woman reported that she was assaulted by a man in Oak Harbor. He was arrested.At 7:35 p.m., a Nogaterra Way resident reported that someone had broken a window on a car.Monday, Nov. 22At 8:05 a.m., a rural Coupeville resident reported that a man hit her mother in the face, causing her to bleed. The man was arrested.At 4:27 p.m., a Sonja Terrace resident reported that a neighbor abandoned some dogs.At 6:15 p.m., a woman reported that her husband was assaulted by his ex-wife in Coupeville. An arrest was made.OAK HARBORThe following items were selected from reports made to the Oak Harbor Police Department:Friday, Nov. 19At 11:47 a.m., a N.E. Ronhaar Street resident reported that his skateboard was stolen.At 5:04 p.m., a S.E. Sixth Avenue resident reported that some unknown people entered his home without permission, but didn’t take anything.At 5:05 p.m., a fuel spill was reported at the marina service dock.At 6:35 p.m., a woman at the police department said she had an injured raccoon in her car. She said she was scared to drive any further because the animal keeps crawling under the gas pedal.At 8:01 p.m., a man reported that his second-grade son was choked by a seventh-grade student.Saturday, Nov. 20At 8:56 a.m., a driver reported someone stole a pistol from a car on S.E. Eighth Avenue.At 9:08 a.m., there was a report that a bus driver took out a stop sign on Bayshore Drive while trying to avoid hitting a pedestrian.At 4:18 p.m., a woman reported that her 14-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted.Sunday, Nov. 21At 1:02 a.m., a citizen reported a possible DUI on Highway 20. The driver was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.At 1:54 a.m., a fight was reported outside of For Pete’s Sake.At 1:00 p.m., a N.E. Clipper Drive resident reported that a 12-year-old runaway showed up at his door and said he had been assaulted by several other boys.COUPEVILLE MARSHALThe following items were selected from reports made to the Coupeville Marshal’s Office:Monday, Nov. 15At 1:59 p.m., a verbal dispute over a neighbor dog was reported on N.E. Haller Street.Wednesday, Nov. 17At 10:31 p.m., a resident reported that his son came at him with a baseball bat and then punched him in the mouth.Thursday, Nov. 18At 2:43 p.m., a large fight was reported on S. Main Street.At 5:44 p.m., a break-in was reported on N.E. Parker Road.FireOver the last week, the Oak Harbor Fire Department responded to 16 calls for emergency medical assistance, shorted equipment on N. Oak Harbor Street, seven false alarms, a car accident, two toxic conditions, a bomb scare on S.E. Pioneer Way and a person trapped on S.E. Regatta Drive.”
