Playhouse reveals cast for ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’

Whidbey Playhouse has announced its cast selection for “A Streetcar named Desire.”

The Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Tennessee Williams is a study of the unraveling of Blanche DuBois, a fading southern belle, born to a once-wealthy family of Mississippi planters.

In order of appearance, the cast is as follows:

Neighbor, Breezy Bethea; Eunice Hubbell, Lisa Judd; Stanley Kowalski, Fernando Duran; Stella Kowalski, Sabrina Loomis; Steve Hubbell, Jim Reynolds; Harold Mitchell (Mitch), Nate Edmiston; Flower Lady, Shala Gonzales; Blanche DuBois, Bridget Sievers; Pablo Gonzales, Nick Graham; A Young Collector, Caleb Head; Strange Woman (Nurse), Jackie Davis Strange; Man (Doctor), Ben Honeycutt; Shopper, Laura Honeycutt, and; Sailor & Man in Tuxedo, Warren Rogers.

A Streetcar Named Desire performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. starting Friday, Feb. 8 through Sunday, Feb. 24.
