‘Piece of flesh’ found on beach | Island Scanner

A caller reported a man on Oak Harbor Road told him to be careful or he’ll “get popped in the rear.”

Thursday, Sept. 1

At 12:25 a.m., a Paradise Place resident reported that a male neighbor was screaming and threatened to kill a woman.

At 10:25 a.m., a caller on Imperial Lane reported that a shed was broken into a couple of weeks prior. Two chainsaws and a compound bow were stolen.

At 11:09 a.m., a septic inspector found a possible “artifact” bone at an Utsalady Road home.

At 2:28 p.m., a caller reported that a “very dirty” man was prowling around campers in the RV park on Cornet Bay Road.

At 5:12 p.m., a man on Lakeside Drive reported that an ex-girlfriend showed up and assaulted his current girlfriend.

At 8:19 p.m., a caller reported that a man on Oak Harbor Road told him to be careful or he’ll “get popped in the rear.”

At 8:52 p.m., a Beachwood Drive resident reported that a suspicious man knocked on the door and said he was with the Mormon church.

Friday, Sept. 2

At 1:17 p.m., a Park Acres Drive resident reported that loggers clear cutting nearby property knocked trees over his property.

At 2 p.m., a Lake Shore Drive resident reported that a kayak and two fishing poles were stolen from an area next to the house.

At 3:39 p.m., a caller reported that someone poured sugar in her daughter’s car on Oak Harbor Road.

At 4:58 p.m., a Marine View Drive resident reported that someone had been flying a drone around his house and in front of his windows.

Saturday, Sept. 3

At 3:59 p.m., a Veridian Lane resident reported that two flower pots were stolen.

At 6:01 p.m., a Sun Vista Circle resident reported that a man gave her dog away to punish her for not coming home the night before.

At 6:32 p.m., a camper at Deception Pass State Park reported that his uncle attacked him with a stick.

At 9:03 p.m., a dog bite was reported on Crescent Drive. The victim went to the ER.

Sunday, Sept. 4

At 2:25 a.m., a Greenoch Loop resident reported seeing a prowler outside.

At 1:37 p.m., a Cabrini Court resident reported that the house was broken into the day before and $800 stolen.

At 4:10 p.m., a woman reported finding “a huge piece of flesh” on the beach near Witter Beach Place.

Monday, Sept. 5

At 8:49 a.m., salmon poachers were reported near Palmer Lane.

At 9:41 a.m., a woman reported that a woman was breaking the windshield of the caller’s car with her feet at “the only tweaker house” on Humphrey Road.

Tuesday, Sept. 6

At 9:50 a.m., a Highway 525 resident reported that his neighbor is unstable and randomly shoots a pistol.

At 5:04 p.m., a caller reported that razor blades and Q-Tips were laying in a parking lot on Patmore Road.

At 6:39 p.m., a Race Road resident reporting finding a crow with a snapped neck in the driveway. The caller suspects the landlord did it.

At 8:44 p.m., an Overview Drive caller reported hearing that deputies took photos of his dog and ducks. He wanted to know who reported him.
