The manager of the Oak Harbor Haggen store died Sunday morning in a car accident in Skagit County.

Sheereen Sadighi, 52, was traveling westbound on State Highway 20 near La Conner-Whitney Road at about 6:18 a.m. in a 2004 silver Toyota truck, according to a press release from the Washington State Patrol.

Her vehicle drove off the road to the north and into a ditch with about three feet of water.

It came to rest on its top, according to State Patrol.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Haggen released this statement about Sadighi:
