Oak Harbor man accused of biting baby in face

An Oak Harbor man was arrested Saturday for allegedly biting a baby, according to the Oak Harbor police.

Capt. Bill Wilke said officers were initially called to a house on a report of a domestic dispute.

People at the scene reported to police that Fednel Hallam, 26, had bitten his girlfriend’s 21-month-old child on the face, according to police.

The bite left teeth marks, which responding officers could still see, according to Wilke.

The incident occurred after the mother of the toddler bathed the little girl and was cleaning the tub. Not long afterward, the little girl ran back into the bathroom crying from a bite injury, her mother said.

Wilke said Hallam admitted to responding police officers that he had bitten the child.

Hallan will likely be charged with assault in the fourth degree, Wilke said.
