Oak Harbor FamilyCare Physical Therapy becomes NorthSound Physical Therapy.

On June 1, Oak Harbor FamilyCare Physical Therapy officially becomes “NorthSound Physical Therapy.”

“It was a really unique opportunity for NorthSound Physical Therapy to be able to purchase an existing , well-established physical therapy clinic that has been in the Oak Harbor community for 20 years,” Vice President Karl Hedeen said. “We’re excited about continuing the same level of service and bringing some new programs to the area.”

Physical therapist Jim Christensen owned the Oak Harbor clinic as well as two other clinics in Freeland and Clinton. Physical therapist Romeen Abdollmohammadi will be taking Christensen’s place, but all other staff will be kept, Hedeen said.

NorthSound Physical Therapy opened their first clinic in 1992 in Stanwood and is 100 percent physical therapist-owned.

“This is our seventh location,” Hedeen said of the change. “It should be a pretty smooth transition”
